Happy Birthday Clara!

During the lovely visit that I talked about in the last post, Clara had her one month birthday...already!!! How time flies! She is doing well. Though she presents plenty of challenges, she also brings lots of happiness! During this last week she's started having times on the floor on a blanket and we've had some fun with that...with her kicking and swinging her arms and smiling and "talking" to us. Very cute! The picture above is her in her little chair.

Thank You Grandpa and Grandma M.!!!!

Stephen, Clara and I had a very nice visit this last week with Clara's Grandpa and Grandma! They came last Friday morning and left early this morning. We were able to have a great visit and they helped us sooooo much with the baby as well as projects around the place! What a blessing! Come again soon and thank you sooo much! If you ever decide to move...here would be a great place! Hint, hint! :-)

Fathers Day Rest

Took a rest with Daddy on Fathers Day while Mom made lunch!!!

Let me brag a little... about my husband! Clara is one blessed little girl to have the Daddy you see pictured above!!! He is turning out to be one super Daddy! He loves her sooooo much and does so much with her! He walks her, holds her, goes and picks her up in the middle of the night, burps her, changes her and he is the bath time expert!!! He can give her a bath without her crying once!!! I love you, Stephen! You're a fantastic Daddy!

Fathers Day Outfit

This was her cute little Fathers Day outfit. It says "Daddy's girl" on the front. I might have tried to get a picture of her and Stephen after getting home from church...but I should have tried BEFORE, because by the time we got home she was in her third new outfit for the day! :-)

Family Trivia

Ok, here is some family trivia that I thought you all just NEEDED to know...if you don't already! :-)

1. My birth experience with Clara was almost a carbon copy of my mom's with me. I was Mom's first and she pushed for five hours before they used forceps to help me into the outside world. I pushed for five hours here at home and then we went to the hospital where they ended up using a vacuum to help Clara into the outside world.

2. My Great-grandmother was 24 years old when she gave birth to my Grandfather (my mom's dad). My Grandfather was 24 when his daughter, my mom, was born. My mom "celebrated" her 24 birthday by having me. And I was 24 (and still am :-)) when I had Clara. Clara better not break the chain!!! :-)

Don't you all feel greatly enriched by that info??!!! :-)
