Talking Report

While Clara has been a major babbler for quite awhile now, we weren't sure when she would start actually talking. She's said "mamamama" and "da" and stuff, but we weren't sure if it was purposeful or not. But she will jabber a ton and look at you in the most purposeful way... exactly like she's caring on an intelligent conversation. And she uses all kinds of sounds and combinations.

Well, I think we may be making a start into the world of real words Besides the possible "mama" and "da" we've heard her say something a couple times that sounded like "hi da"... Once when I gave her the phone to talk to Stephen and once this morning before he left for work. There has also been a time or two at least where a wave was accompanied by "ba" (bye?). And then the other day I saw her gingerly touching a mug that had been used the night before and saying "haw. haw. haw." (Hot. Hot. Hot.) I think she may have also made that "haw" sound again today in reference to a mug. Anyway, I think the words are starting! It's exciting!

Keep scrolling down. This is the third post of the day!

Maybe by tomorrow she'll be ready for the Declaration of Independence- one smart cookie!
